Jean-François Hamel is Vice President for Space Systems at NGC Aerospace. He is responsible for the establishment and the implementation of programs related to Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems for satellites, planetary Landers and rovers. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Sherbrooke. He is also an International Space University graduate.
NGC Aerospace Ltd is a high technology Canadian SME located in Sherbrooke and known for its design and deployment of artificial vision systems, guidance, navigation and autonomous control for land, air and space vehicles. The analysis, algorithms, simulation and real-time software for control developed by NGC aim at increasing autonomy, performance, reliability and security for these intelligent vehicles while reducing their operational costs.
